Belzona 9611 (ES-Metal) is a mouldable, fast-curing putty which can be used to quickly stem an emergency live leak.
It is an epoxy based “stick”, specifically designed to stop the leak instantly, creating a window for long-term repair. Suitable for low-pressure pipe repairs, it provides a quick, reliable option when immediate action is required.
This simple system mitigates the health and safety risks tied to traditional cut-and-weld hot work and is far easier to carry out during a live leak situation. Application requires only hand-kneading the material and forcing it onto the defected area. A Belzona tourniquet is then applied to exert pressure until the material has hardened.
Once Belzona 9611 (ES-Metal) has stemmed the leak, a Belzona epoxy composite can be used along with Belzona 9341 (Reinforcement Tape) to reinforce the repair. Adding the composite pipe wrap ensures a durable, long-term solution.
